Once upon a time, I was doing random research on Native American artists or artists/designers that have portrayed natives in their work.
Research seemed bleak. Until suddenly, I came across a guy called Tim Neath.
Much to my surprise, he was also heavily inspired by the same documentary that I mentioned in my previous post (Inventing the Indian). Talk about coincidence.
Just in case I’m starting to put you to sleep with my writing, here’s some samples of Neath’s glorious work.
Upon seeing this I decided to do my own, watered-down version of a Teepee Community.
Neath community does look quite realistic considering the addition of the figures but I really wanted mine to be simplistic.
Before you say anything, my version has a Teepee school, hospital, mall, strip club, gym, hotel, casino, museum and hairdressers. So yeah!
